FINALLY!!! Sofia can now say Ma Ma! It's about time since she rattles off Da Da 24-7! I think she knows that I want her to say it cause sometimes I will say "Sofia, say Ma Ma" and she will look right at me smiling and say "Da Da!"...Of course when she's hungry, tired or wants to be held she all of a sudden can say Ma Ma again...I think she already has us trained...
And I'm STILL singing the "Two Front Teeth" song to her :-) Those darn teeth refuse to come out... Now I'm singing
"All I want for Valentine's is My Two Front Teeth...:-)...my Two Front Teeth...Yeah My Two Front Teeth..
January has been a busy month. After we got done traveling, we finally got a weekend to relax and do nothing. Then we got ready for Kristin & Graham's baby shower. It was so great to have them here for the weekend and the shower turned out great! A lot of people attended and they got some great stuff..We even got to eat at two of our favorite places...Pizzeria Bianco and Tutti Santi..Yum..
Sofia has been doing so many cute things during the last month...She waves hi and bye to everyone...She learned to do "Slap me Five" and now she walks around with her hand in the air waiting for someone to slap it :-) She also loves Peek-a-boo! She is such a giggler...she is always laughing and now she is starting to dance! Any time music comes on the tv or on her activity table or even her toys she dances by rocking back and forth and waving her hands.. Sofia is also in LOVE with Nordy and Jake...the problem is that they aren't particularly in love with her yet :-) Sofia chases Nordy around the house..he's starting to warm up to her but when she charges at him he gets a little freaked out...Jake pretty much lets her abuse him...she grabs handfuls of his hair and I always have to go over and pry her hand open before she scalps him...
Sofia is also starting to eat real food and not just baby food..she loves Cheerios, cut up strawberries, bananas and mashed potatoes. I'm trying to add a new item every few days.
She also is getting into that "I want mom to hold me at all times" phase...I wonder how long this lasts? I mean I love it that she wants me to hold her but 19 pounds gets a little heavy after a while :-)
I added her 9 month picture to the photo album so take a look...
We had a great time in Tahoe for New Years. We stayed with our great friends Kristin & Graham in a beautiful house in Kings Beach...it was so relaxing and we loved seeing Sofia in the snow...Brian and Graham got 3 days of snow boarding in! We even got to see our good friends Scott, Gretchen and their 3 kids on this trip...What a great way to end 2008...To top off the weekend, the Chargers won so Brian is estatic...Sofia turned 9 months old on the 2nd..She is trying to walk by pulling herself up on everything, and then she scoots along the furniture...The fun really begins now! :-)
We had a great Xmas at Mom-Mom's...Sofia had a great time hanging out with cousin Lilly and Sam...I couldn't believe how many presents there were under the tree for the three girls..Lilly was so excited and it was fun to watch her open all her presents...Sofia had fun opening hers but I think she liked the wrapping paper better than the actual gifts! All of us at one point got the stomach flu while there...We think Sofia was the main culprit and we even had to take her to the ER the Monday before Xmas as she wouldn't stop getting sick. Then a few days later her cousin Sam ended up in the ER with RSV...Poor little girls..Now we have Tahoe for New Years! Can't wait to see snow..
