We recently just came back from a 2 week East Coast vacation. We had a blast. We started off by going to my mom's house and heading out to Ocean City, N.J. for 6 days. We had perfect sunny weather...We even got to experience an earthquake while on the beach...It felt like the sand was rolling underneath us...The girls had so much fun playing in the ocean every day...we did the board walk quite a few times and we also took family portraits on the beach...I love the way they turned out and can't wait to get them back...I've always wanted family pictures with a beach setting...
The day we were leaving it started to get overcast and you could tell Hurricane Irene was coming. That next night Hurricane Irene did come and that was an eventful night. Not only did we have to deal with flooding in my mom's basement but we had a few tornado warnings...We actually had the girls sleeping in the hallway...I think I'm appreciating Arizona's dust storms after that ;-)
Brian and I then left the girls with my mom for 2 days and went to New York. We got to see the US Open on opening day, did a bunch of sight seeing all around town and saw the play Rock of Ages. It was a great play! I'd recommend it.
When we got back to Philly we did Sesame Street place with the girls and the Philly Zoo. We even took the girls on a mini tour of Philly and they got to see the Liberty Bell and South Street.
It was a great vacation and the girls definitely had a blast!
