Olivia Kristin Zapoticzny has arrived! She was born via c-section on December 22nd at 4:22 p.m. I was surprised at how good the csection went! I only had a few days of discomfort and then I was seriously up and moving around! Even the doctor said he couldn't believe I just had that surgery. I'm very thankful for that!
It took us a long time to finally choose the name. We had a few that we loved after narrowing down a list of 20! We thought Olivia is a beautiful name to have when you're young and when you're older and we chose her middle name after my cousin Krissy who was killed by a drunk driver when she was only 16 years old. We thought it would be a nice tribute to her. Her dad is one of my uncles who walked me down the isle when Brian and I got married...he's my dad's brother.
Olivia did great at the hospital but the day we left they said she was a little jaundiced and they would let me leave as long as we came to the hospital the next morning for another test. Well when we got there they had to admit her as the jaundice got pretty bad :-( We had to stay in the hospital for 3 more days...I felt bad watching her have to bake under those lights with those yucky goggles on!
We came home today and I'm soo glad to be here with Sofia and Olivia.
Sofia is funny cause she keeps waving at her saying "hi"...She also wants to share her toys yet she doesn't understand she can't throw them at her...
I'll upload lots of pictures this week...as for now, I'm going to bed!
